Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Customers find the EMF meter simple to use and appreciate its sturdy build. The device works well for measuring various electromagnetic fields, and customers consider it an excellent meter. However, the accuracy receives mixed feedback, with several customers noting that it's not very accurate.
Customers find the EMF meter works well, with one mentioning it measures various electro-magnetic-radio fields accurately.

I bought this as I suspected my Dell laptop of making some sort of field which was making me feel ill. It took a week to get here from the US but was worth the wait as immediately I found that my laptop produces a HUGE electric field that is off the scale and extends to a distance of three feet away. It also show a strong magnetic field but not off the scale and vanishing quite quickly. We have several other laptops and none of them show any readings except slight and only when very close to the meter.
My next concern was my child's bed being next to the meter cupboard. The cupboard is right up high on the wall over the head of the bed. Again there were high reading for electric and magnetic fields (but not as high as that evil laptop), although the readings dropped off completely down at bed level - so I'm no longer worried about this.
Then the microwave.. oh my! .... was off the scale for both magnetic fields and RF (microwaves escaping) at a distance of six feet away, and then further away still very high and in the red (danger) part of the scale EVERYWHERE ELSE in the kitchen. I shall be buying a new microwave this week. Clearly the door seal has gone (or never worked). And to think I used to allow my children to peep in through the door as they made popcorn!
Fantastic gadget. Takes away the guesswork. I know it's not very accurate but "off-the-scale" is convincing enough for me.
Very nice meter and quite sturdy build. On the more sensitive magnetic setting it will pick up the magnetic field created by the second hand of my battery powered watch ticking! Very quick delivery from USA too.
Haven't tested all its capabilities fully but not quite as useful as I had hoped. I don't think it's faulty but may not be as useful as first thought. Everyone's use or situation will be different.
-- Updated Review -- Having had the meter professionally reviewed to confirm the validity of the measurements, unfortunately the detailed analysis was extremely disappointing, with a wide variance of measurements between the Trifield and a professional measurement device - I could see with my own eyes how the EMF measurement in the Trifield of the same location was 9 times the measurement from a professional device. If you are faced with a major decision like buying a house, I would certainly recommend using the services of a professional EMF survey company.
-- Old Review --
Works as it should, great for evaluating EMF radiation both magnetic and electrical as well as microwave. Useful for identifying electrical devices which are very EMF-pollutant including alarm clocks near which you sleep all night. Useful also when buying a house to evaluate the level of electrical leakage or environmental pollution. Recommended
I bought this to check things like smart phones, laptops, desktops, microwaves. It will inform you on the level of field and you can establish for yourself a safe distance to operate things. Its quite alarming to see what EMF field levels are generated by some devices, through using this meter we discovered the house wiring had a fault. These faults are invisible as everything electrical works as normal the only way to know there is a problem is by using a EMF meter then investigate the wiring until the fault is found, in this case the negative and earth were the wrong way round on a socket. This fault caused high EMF fields throughout the house. I understand the new Smart meters they want to force us to have create high EMF fields if so good enough reason not to have one
Although I don't have much experience with measuring EM fields, it seems to work ok measuring various electro-magnetic-radio fields that surround us at home/work etc. I recomend it as a good, solid all-in-one EM field meter.
